My Homemade Back Acne Treatment
Dec 21st
For my own back acne treatment, I use a very soft bristled brush with a long handle which is a great investment, as the majority of individuals are not able to sufficiently reach their back by themselves. Utilizing this brush with a sugar scrub, up to two times per week will exfoliate your back.
For a more vigorous home acne treatment, a salt scrub can be used, but don’t be overly aggressive. Using a castile soap or your desired acne cleanser, on a wash cloth wrapped around your back brush, is a great daily cleansing routine for the days that you are not exfoliating, and can be used exclusively on your back, or your entire body.
Cotton clothing that is loose fitting should be worn whenever appropriate. You may want to talk to a few football players about the acne problems caused by their shoulder pads and tight fitting helmets, if you are questioning whether tight fitting clothes and the subsequent sweating can cause back acne.
My son played football, so I saw this myself. You should avoid clothing that doesn’t let your skin breath, such as spandex and other tight fitting garments.
I’d like to share with you, my back acne secret:
A mixture of 2 ounces of vinegar, 6 ounces of water, and about 1/32 of an ounce of tea tree oil should be combined in a spray bottle.
A light mist should be sprayed over your entire back following each shower. I know of no scientific research explaining why this home acne treatment works, but I can tell you that for me, my son, and my friend’s 15 year old, it was tremendously effective.
Within 2 weeks, this back acne treatment had cleared up everyone’s back acne.
